This was the first song that truly sent me to tears...even the start of the song, "If you walk away, I'll walk away.." Emmy Lou Harris in the background really compliments Conor's vocals. Does anyone else feel that there are certain lines that Conor writes that just hit you and you have to go back and stare at them a couple more times because they are so brilliant or beautiful? "and in a deafening pleasure...." just certain phrases like that. "If you love something give it away"....that line hurts because its true for so many people. Even the part about the "musical graves" is very confronting but you get so swept up in the rhythm of the song that it doesnt sink in..... Beautiful song.....one of my favourites...because i can connect with it in so many ways. |

| I think the way that this song mentions the sword is very haunting.....its a bit like foreboding as thats the way he supposedly died. I dont know....i just thought that was alittle scary. | |

Some of the lines that elliott wrote were very clever and catchy and they just plain made you think. "I heard you found another audience to bore. A creative thinker who imagined you were more"...that line really intrigues me. The way he sang particular songs would also add heaps to the meaning, he had such a whispery voice that would sometimes send you to tears. |
