| Soulja Boy – Yahhh! Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Hip hop was originally supposed to be serious. The artists were supposed to take their time and come up with something meaningful, and they did that, until the 21st century when guys like Soulja Boy, Lil' Wayne, and a bunch of other shitty rappers came along. They weren't about the meaning of their songs, but just money. And that is why Soulja Boy kills hiphop. Hip hop isn't supposed to be party music, but a way to express yourself. It's not all about money. There are still a few good rappers out there, like Mos Def, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, De La Soul, and some more, but you never find them on the radio. |

I think its about how its a pity that so much violence occurs in hip hop. They are trying to say how the rappers are spending too much time in the streets instead of working to improve life. "Walkin the streets is like battlin, be careful with your body You must know karate or think your soul is bulletproof like Sade Stop actin like a bitch already, be a visionary And maybe you can see your name in the column of obituary" A great song. |

| It's songs like this that are killing hip hop. I believe Soulja Boy himself said that he wanted to make music for parties and stuff. That is not what hip hop is about. It is supposed to be for the artist to tell a story, express their views of society, and express themselves through their lyrics. This song contains none of that. | |
