I love Blink. i just read some of these comments and just had to leave a comment too because a lot of them are wrong.. lol wow. first of all, no.. none of the members have a brother named adam. Ive researched the song before and found out that "adam" isnt even a real person, there was this guy who wrote a play to help teenagers and what not, with suicide, and he wrote a fake suicide letter that the fictional adam wrote. one of the kids who were in the play emailed mark hoppus the letter.. i dont know if mark thought it was real or not. the play was called "adams letter". but yeah also there was a comedy show called "mr. show" that did a skit called "titanica" and at the end they sang a song called "adams song".. so blink could have gotten the song name from that skit. and then i read an interview where mark actually said that the song isnt about commiting suicide or anything, and its actually about him being out on tour and his girl left him and he has nothing to go home to and hes alone.. and parts of the song he wrote to make people realize that in the end it'll all be okay. and the apple juice part, i guess tom worked in an apple juice factory and hated it. in the end everything turned out okay. the part about the cord not being plugged in at all, toms amp wasnt working and he traced the cord back to the wall and it was in a puddle, luckily not plugged in. if you dont believe me about any of this, google it. also a little fact... a columbine high skool student (greg barnes) who survived from the skool shooting in 1999, hung himself a year later with adams song in his radio set on repeat. this is one of my favorite blink songs, ONE of them :] |
