I used to listen to it endlessly in the past years..a song of desperation. I guess it could talk about a man who once is rich and respectable, but then (financial crack??) loses everything and is forced to live at the border of society. Loss of hope, also because the other give up in believe in him..but it's interesting the line"imagine yourselves removed from all that you're used to"...who is it referred to? To the listener who can't realise what desperation really is, or to the "estranged"? Comment please |

I always loved the piece"fools sit on high so eden lies obscured"...the truth hidden by fools who sit at the government, or the ones who can rule but ain'yt better tha the suffering masses.It could be an anti-militarist song, but has many details. We can't see Eden, but, paradox, it's good because this makes us think, on our own(those who conform puts thorns in our eyes)..Is there a place in time when war and peace collide? This means ,maybe, that reality we see contemplate war as a natural other side of peace, there can't be one without other..anyway, we can't still have answers because once we're sure we lay on apathy and let the fools obscure our mind and our search(that's neverending!!!) |
