its:"People tell me slow my ROLL" & "rather lay awake in THE BED full of sorrow" & yeah i agree, the drunk driving part is kinda umm. but hey i guess im on this pursuit too.... i think this song is about living your life and doing what pleases you. There is terrible shit happening around us but we are going to die sooner or later, so why not live life how we wanna instead of just sitting around being scared of what might happen. |

I think EVeRY website has it wrong! Jesus if you listen to the actual song he say... "In my Continental, Splintered off the mental. When you want the best, YOU'LL never except anything less." ...I mean come on. "show..??" it loses its meaning. |

ok. "unkind" doesn't really rhyme with "life." I think when he says took my chances on a big jet plane is a reference to this..... Led Zeppelin began travelling in a private jet airliner (nicknamed The Starship[43]), rented out entire sections of hotels (most notably the Continental Hyatt House in Los Angeles, known colloquially as the "Riot House"), and became the subject of many of rock's most famous stories of debauchery. (& thank you wikipedia) I think this song is nothing more than there journey to California... to becoming rock ledgends. |
