the song is about us relying on computer and robots to do everything for us! Eventually, they will learn they don't need us & kill this race off (maybe keep us around for slaves or something) and start their own BETTER race... "computers rule the world" "our robot masters will know how to clean this mess up and build a better world" i think it also has to do with the government. maybe having something to do with robots taking over - giving them the power to do so. "micro-chip implanted in my heart" "citizens of tomorrow be forewarned" awesome song! & very true ... maybe not as soon as 2009, though! :) |

This song heavily suggests that we should think for ourselves as young adults and not be "brainwashed" by our elders. Once we stop depending on our elders, we cut them off from making our decisions. We should make educated choices on what's going on in the world NOW and how we want it to stay after they have left us. "if the OLD guard still offend they have nothing left on which we depend so enlist every ounce of your bright [young] blood and off with their heads" so get out there and VOTE because "you're not obliged to swallow anything you despise" HERE, you do have a choice, even when you're young!! this song sounds AMAZING. and is true on many levels. "put yourself in my new shoes" not HOOVES? |

"did he poison your views with the water he was raised on" This is about a girl who is trying to find herself. She has a bad relationship with her dad, but I don't think the song is dwelling on that. It seems to focus more on her life NOW! "there's nothing sacred here" meaning, ON EARTH. they are just saying, don't consume your head with hatred for someone who has done something wrong to you, instead, "keep dancing alone" because your life can still hold many great things/feelings before it's time to leave ... "sweet soldiers daughter ... " is moving in a way that you have to be in the right mindset and in the right setting for it to REALLY touch your heart and sink into your brain. But the combination is overwhelming! |

" Although, it's bad timing he wants her to stick around so he can find out if it's what he's looking for: "you're just too good to lose, and i can't refuse ..." But he's scared of the commitment. Scared to get hurt again. The funny thing, is he doesn't realize how selfish he's being trying to make her wait around while he's probably singing the same song to 8 other girls. I wish he acknowledged that in the song! it is beautiful, though! |

this is all about a serious addiction to someone. you can love someone. or you can CRASH into love with someone, and not even see it coming, I think that is what he felt like!! i bought this CD without ever hearing any of their stuff, I just felt drawn to it, and I fell in LOVE. this song is genius - lyrically and melodically! |
