| The Riot Before – You Rock, Rock Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is the last part, including the missing lines: Last night I dreamt of gasoline And leaping off of everything In the hopes that this mountain would move From the air in my lungs And today I woke desiring To leave these metaphors and similes And I would scream aloud I'll take the world for all that it's worth And I would mean every action I made And live every word. |

| Latterman – Fear And Loathing On Long Island Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I'm not sure, but I always interpreted the lines about breaking the bottle and breaking the habit pretty literally. As in break the bottle (stop drinking) because it won't help the situation, and to break self destructive habits. No? | |
| My Morning Jacket – Librarian Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i always thought the line was, "'cause everything'd be great, and everything'd be good, IF everybody gave like everybody could." doesn't that make more sense? |

| The Gaslight Anthem – Once Upon a Time (Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Once upon a time, when I was in high school I was in love with you, lady and you treated me so cool. I was drivin' a Chevy '72, it had 4 on the floor, girl, A hundred 20, it would do. And I remember Marvin Gaye, singin', What's goin’ on. And there was a war, baby, somewhere across the sea I don’t wanna go and fight, girl, ‘Cause you were really in love with me. I remember Martin Luther King, Lord he was the man, babe, that gave us all a dream. And I remember Marvin Gaye, singin', What's goin’ on. I don't play with my love, oh. And I remember Marvin Gaye, singin', What's goin’ on. They used to have sweet music in the park. Lord, up at Monterey straight down to the ?. You used to wear girl, them hot pants And When you strolled down the hall, All the boys wanted a chance. And I remember Marvin Gaye, singin', What's goin’ on. I don't play with my love, oh. I remember Otis Redding, Sittin' at the Dock of the Bay - But then he went away. And I remember Sam Cooke ya'll, Just Bring It On Home To Me, From your love I can't be free. I remember Elvis Presley, and them Blue Suede Shoes Lord, they gave me the blues. I remember Marvin Gaye, singin’, yeah... Let's get it on. that's as close as i could get. |

| The Avett Brothers – Tear Down the House Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is so beautiful. "I remember crying over you, And I don’t mean like a couple of tears and I’m blue. I’m talking about collapsing and screaming at the moon, But I’m a better man for having gone through it." Real men cry. |

| Sex Pistols – My Way Lyrics | 17 years ago |
you guys are so silly. of course sid vicious wasn't any good! but that, sadly, is what made him famous. he was a complete wreck that everyone loved watching. that was his allure. saying he 'sucks' will do know good, considering he was supposed to suck.. just stating the obvious. also, whoever called him a nazi is ridiculous - read something about the sex pistols or sid and you'll learn why they wore the swastika. |
| Park Ave. – Lachrymose Obsequious Vehement Elated Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is for sure my favorite Park Ave. song. I couldn't relate more. "But maybe I'd be better off if I just end this quickly/It is not romantic/I am just giving up and shutting down/I am just so sick of thinking my head is broken." These lyrics also could not be more perfect. Love it. |
| Park Ave. – She Teaches Art? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I agree; it's about an art teacher whose students don't give a shit and want her to know she doesn't "need" to be a teacher. It's kind of sad, actually. | |
| The Felice Brothers – Your Belly In My Arms Lyrics | 17 years ago |

| A. A. Bondy – American Hearts Lyrics | 17 years ago |
