Sometimes I need reminding
Regret is so blinding
But like I told me don't dwell
Funny because everytime I listen to 311 they always remind me to stay positive and love life. 311 is my reminder. |

i was listening to this song today and thought it was about a journey through space "A million miles and a ways to go". And also meeting aliens "A people then approached waving their hands. They were speaking in a tongue I could not understand." |

I always thought this song was about dreaming. Like when you always have dreams about people from your past (girlfriends, best friends, etc) and you're hanging out with them in the dream like nothing ever happened with your relationship. "I'm on a hovercraft to Paris with my former best friend" "I'm in a private helicopter with my favorite ex-girlfriend" That's some random dream shit right there. |

| 311 – Trouble Lyrics

I agree with Justin on your comment. It’s definitely about becoming a better person and the battle it takes to reach that point. Any trouble that was in his life he brought on himself “I was always looking for trouble, trouble it always followed me” and once he realizes this he works on becoming a better person “Point of contention, pain will motivate and lead you to change”. Along the way he realizes how stupid he was and how he acted in the past and is even hard on himself about it “I got a mind full of weapons in the battle of me versus myself”. Ultimately he accepts all this and realizes he has only himself to rely on for change “All at once I up and pulled the bamboo out of my cuticles”
Great song and reminder that we're all capable bettering our lives |

i agree with the grey fool.. haha that sounds funny. i also think it’s about taking notice of the things around you during the journey down the river of life (“don’t hurry yourself” which I think is the actual wording during the second verse)… like how you would notice the nice things if you took a journey down a river or if you were running… which I always related to because I used to run a lot and running was very calming like this song. |
