Wellll...this song is obviously about relationships, etc but I like to throw some other shit out onto the fan. I like to take this song as the story of emotions you feel after getting off of anti-depressants...or just simply getting over a depression..which is trouble probably caused by relationships...right? riiiiiiight. haha seriously. Lets look at the facts. So yeah the chorus... "The question is was I more alive then than I am now.." sounds like something a therapist would ask. and well something you ask yourself if your in that situation. The part about not existing and sitting around sometimes..cause like that happens if your depressed..and thats how you feel...yeah..the song has a bunch more evidence, but im too high to finish this, and i thought about typing this really long post, but i kinda just burned out on it. |

| I feel that this song is a cry out to the "indie" scene. That these indie bands such as pavement and the jews worked for attention for the mainstream people. Now that "indie" is the top form of "rock" these days with "emo" bands such as my chemical romance, and fall out boy they feel that the musical revolution that they had started over a decade ago had left their hands and turned into something completely different.
