| Joanna Newsom – The Fray Lyrics

This song makes me so nostalgic. The melody is haunting and the words are so unique.
I don't know what it's actually about, but for me, it reminds me of when i was a little kid and watching my brother's baseball games. |

this reminds me of like an end of an era, or a goodbye to part of yourself that you've lost, forgotten or changed.
or else, this makes me think of like a stuffed animal singing to its owner...haha i know that's kinda weird since the song seems a bit romantic. |

i feel really bad for the casualties. they must really hate their lives. but i'm sure the fact that they thrive on violence and hate doesn't make anything better. i don't know. ho hum pig's bum. |

so, according to basically every other one of their songs, they want to kill everyone, and they love violence yet they mourn for their friend who's going off to kill people and be violent? hmm...that makes alot of sense |

hmm...this band goes on and on about violence and how it's so great and awesome...except when it's being done to them. police brutality is awful...but so is brutality in general, whoever is doing it. |

yeah guys, because life is really just about spiking hair and listening to people scream about their sucky lives while never actually getting off their butts to do something about this messed up world. |

| Boys Like Girls – The Great Escape (Demo) Lyrics

i know that everyone loves this song, but i just can't get into it that much. the tune is catchy, but i don't think the lyrics are very meaningful. but i don't know, maybe they're not supposed to be. i'm not a fan of boys like girls, and this is the only song of theirs that i actually know. hmm |

| Bob Dylan – Mr. Tambourine Man Lyrics

this song is about how beauty is fleeting and fades fast. maybe it is about drugs, but that's not what it means to me. it's kind of about how nothing Gold can stay, and how empty you feel whent it's gone.
"Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind,
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves,
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach,
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow.
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free,
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands,
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves,
Let me forget about today until tomorrow."
^that's my favorite part |

i've always thought of this song being about the golden years of childhood, and how fast people change and grow up.
anyways, i like reading all your stories, even though they were posted a couple years ago. it's cool how you all gave each other advice. :) |

this is so nostalgic. it reminds of the way my family used to be. "and i will never grow so old again" < i always think of that line when i look at old pictures, or think of how i've changed so much from how i used to be. and the line has so much meaning because it sounds hopeful, like he has a second chance for growing up and i know that i dont. |

listening to this song is almost like a really deep spiritual experience for me. i don't speak icelandic, but i like that it's in a nother language because english would totally take away from the melody and meaning. this song is kind of surreal and other-worldly. it needs to be used in a movie!!!! |
