| I know this might be random but did anyone pick up the connection between "O'Hare" who lives up in the highest of heights" and the O'Hare in Gone with the Wind who lives on a hill, believing that her (racist supremicist) lifestyle and the many people who followed were allowed to lay claim to the land even though her ancestors were not from there. It was No mans land. Just my take on the song and yes i know O'hare was not from illinois and yes i know that im not from the U.S and shud not be typing this but its late and im board and my cat just died, my girlfriend got pregnant, i got crabs and iv been watching spike t.v for ten hours after ten cups of coffee and shes still not back yet so there!!!! | |

Im guessing nobody hear has ever read William Golding's Lord of the flies... Ok im nt gona be snooty or anything all ur ideas are pretty beautiful but the song is based on the book. Basically Lord of the flies is about a bunch of little kids (6-12) trapped on an island in the ocean with no adults. The book is supposed to show what mankind truly is in their purest most uninfluenced form (thats why golding chose little kids not adults) and the madness that would ensues. Anyway Two characters in the book are little Johnny (who is one of the younger ones on the island) and Roger (one of the big kids who ends up being a twisted sadist that kills another child and torchers everyone that annoys him.) Johnny because he is so young isn't taken very seriously through out the book and is in a sence neglected hence the line "And I like to complain in vain" Roger through violence imposes his will upon everyone on the island "I like to proclaim myself a god And lightly ordain myself" Johnny is also Rogers first target in the story. ANOTHER MAJOR POINT THAT CONVINCED ME is that serj sings with a YOUNG BRITISH BOYS accent. All the boys in Lord of the Flies were British. |
