Muse – Panic Station Lyrics 13 years ago
I honestly don't see there being much meaning behind this song, they just tried to make a catchy diddy (hence the use of counting) and boy oh boy did they succeed. If I had to squeeze an interpretation though, I'd say it's a continuation of the entire album's chaotic theme (second law of thermodynamics/entropy) and how inciting chaos is a way to make human beings feel in control -- especially under a totalitarian regime.

Broken Social Scene – World Sick Lyrics 15 years ago
Well, one of the members of BSS is gay... so if those are the correct lyrics, I reckon this song is a bit of Prop 8 outrage.

The Stills – Gender Bombs Lyrics 17 years ago
This is one of my favourite songs of all time, it's absolutely perfect lyrically. In my opinion, like others have said, the song is simply about an unrequited love. It's about falling so deeply and madly in love with a woman, only to find out that what you thought were mutual feelings, actually was just innuendo. And the end result being so crushing that thoughts of suicide seem almost comforting. The girl schools you, so to say, on the most painful subject there is: love.

Thrice – Moving Mountains Lyrics 17 years ago
To me, this sounds like a song Paul Bunyan would sing, however ridiculous that sounds. And Babe was quite the mountain mover....
