This song is amazing. We have all been behind our wall. Some of us more than others. This song tells some of the things that leads to isolation. Its crazy, after a while it does feel safer to be hide behind the wall. Its hard to expose yourself. Just thought I'd add that I've had some of the best teachers ever. (Mrs. Guthrie) and i've also had one of the worste. Mr. Sewart, I'd like to say nice guy but i cant. He reminds me of the school master off of the wall. He might be mad at the world or something But hey dont take it out on us. Tell a girl it looks like she lost a bet because she decided to do do something crazy to her hair and shit Nobody's used to it becauase we live in a little town with no open minds....Liberate your Minds..Yeah... I stood up for her but its just shit like that all day. I mean seriously. Ok enuf of my bitching just thought i'd throw that in there. |

When i first started to really get into pink floyd back in middle school i was mesmorized by this song. It his hard and still does. Its also one of my top 3 favorite scenes in the wall when he is in the pool and the scenes is like spinning. I love it. It means things are not as they seem life isnt' as easy as it seems when you are so much younger. I could really relate to it because i was getting into so much trouble and my parents had the tear staind eyes. I hurt them so bad. Sometimes intentionally but i kept going until i lost it. A crack in the ice appeared all of a sudded i can't get back up and they aren't there to help me anymore."as you claw the thin ice" I was so scared and unhappy with myself and i was exposed and scared "fear flowing out behind you" i couldnt hide my problems anymore. I let my shit get sloppy as my dad would say. |

They do such a good job of evening their lyrics to the songs out like "stolen moments floating softly on the air. Its like stolen moments sucks but their floating softly on the air so it paints a more mellow picture. Less tension and stuff. I love it! |

When somehting isn't ok you cant always tell by the way somebody talks you can tell by how they dont, the connection is failing and they are not getting through. Theres "Nobody Home" These have to be my favorite lyrics in this song. The music is not exactly my favorite but its cool. it'll be the perfect song for somebody else. |

This is one of the best songs on the album. I think that this song has alot of refrences to other pink floyd songs. I just like the way that this song makes me feel. I feel like somebody is reaching the end and looking back on everything that has happened good and bad. Just like we all do sometimes. Thats the genius of pink floyd anybody can have everything to do with the song and have their own interpretation of it and feel a completely different feeling than the next guy. :) |

This is one of the most perfect songs in the world. Dark Side of The Moon is my favorite album and this Us and Them is such a big part of the master piece. This is also my Daddy's favorite pink floyd song. Its perfect because while the music is so relaxing and soothing, the lyrics without the music would be "dark". It helps you take in things in a way that makes it ok to be "dark". Like yes the world can be shitty sometimes but listen to this song and everything is ok even when most people wouldn't think it should be. Does that make sense the wasy i put it? :)
