yeah i agree with *fall out fairy* i reckon the song doesnt actually have any direct links to talking about love.. its two friends seperate problems and are only just about getting eachother through it when they need eachother most... cause when i listen to thsi it makes me think about a couple of people im close to so i can relate. the verses have alot of negative and a very down feeling... if you look at some lines from the verse1, "i fake another day and the wheel keeps turning" shows that this person forces him/herself through the day just to go through the same bad cycle. also with "theres nothing left, we're just a shadow of what we used to be", shows that they dont think either of them will ever be the same but trying to protect eachothers feelings and keep that thought from eachother to try and get eachother through... in verse 2 "Here we are. Pretending we're okay. (You can say what you want, but you still can't fool me)" backs up what i just said about trying to protect eachother from what they feel. but it keeps going back to the chorus "When I open your letter The words make it better It takes it all away Oh, it keeps me holding on" shows that theyre holding on for eachother as they are all they have to keep going? "i know where to find you" means they know they can always rely on and run to eachother for support i would say more but i have to go lol, i might be wrong but its my opinion =] |
