I honestly think that "Emily" is dead and the man singing is grieving over her. A requiem is a song to honor a dead person. And the first line only confirms it for me, too. I'm sure that "A better place to sleep" is a reference to Heaven. And in the chorus, he says how he can't stand being without her and how her death is killing him inside. This song brings tears to my eyes. ); |
