This song is about repenting and turning away from sin. we are never truely forgiven of our sin until we completely turn away from it. they're just telling us to "switch". "leaving a scar" and such. it's just how the further we get into sin the more we tend to be lost and dig a deeper hole for ourselves. The only way to get rid of it is to switch and run away from the things that harm us and keep us away from God. |

actually its more like that we every day are in a battle ourselves. We get up every morning and like in the beatitudes in Matthew we dawn our "armor of God" so this is just merely expressing that we are in a war. The idea of a battle to go and beat up demons hence "broken teeth, shattered jaw" shows us ready for battle and beating the pulp out of some unlucky demons. but just us being deciples of Christ we are in the mists of battle against temptation and sin. So what do you say? lets storm the gates of hell :) |

Obviously the lyrics must say "still HAVE made a choice" because the choice between believeing and not believing is the freewill that we have. it all boiles down to the choices we make and what you have faith in, if you have any faith at all. Thats the beauty of freewill. You are not forced to believe anything. |
