Oh and by the way, the lyrics to the ending of the second verse are: And denounce the power of death over our souls as secret words are sent to start a war. |

"It's the circle of regret The circle of hate The circle of death Your circle of fear is the same" Try this: The circle of hate, the circle of death, your circle of LIFE is the same. |

| HIM – I've Crossed Oceans Of Wine To Find You Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Valo was actually asked to write this song for a vampire movie. That is why it was released on a single instead of an actual album. I believe he was also asked to play the lead but turned it down. He has no desire to act, and never plans to. |

Yes this song was released on Apocalyptica's self titled album. The lyrics tell the story of two men that are in love with a woman, one of which is currently with her. You can find all the juicy details if you search for the making of the video on youtube. It's a great video as well. As far as the whole Ylonen debate, I love the contrast between the two. Picking Valo with his deep, guttural vocals, and the higher qualities of Ylonens was a smart choice. They compliment each other. |

Here's a little HIM history about this song and Deep Shadows as a whole. When they were recording Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights they wanted to go for a heavier, deeper sound, however the record label (I believe it was BMG Finland) wanted a soft record. After a long battle the band lost and they were forced to record a softer record, even re-record some songs. This version is what that album was supposed to sound like (I believe that), and what Beautiful was supposed to sound like. As a result the boys don't like Deep Shadows too much, it's not what they originally pictured in their mind. It's also funny that it is the common answer when you ask a HIM fan what their favorite album is, atleast it is when I ask. |

To Green182Fan. Okay, this is one that I tackle a lot. The boys in HIM are NOT Satanic. Yes they were once called His Infernal Majesty, but when they began to become accused of Satanism, they shortened it to HIM. Valo has stated that it is "silly" to worship the devil, and that he worships Black Sabbath (typical Valo humor). He also said that if he's anything he's pagan. So NO, they are not trying to bring down God or uplift Satan. So don't worry, you don't like a Satanic Band. If you have any other HIM related questions feel free to ask. Fan for 5 years, plenty o' HIM knowledge. |
