This song is not about a human, but America. I sense wars and economic crisis here. The feeling of going down the drain day by day due to mistakes made is apparent here. But arrogance is also present. Regrets are not felt and thus whatever happened will be continued. |

I think its about a man who avoided his lover and ran after money. They had fight about it, but he never listened to her. At one point she decided to leave him. And this basically woke him up and as the song goes he asks her to stay with him. In the song he basically says that how love is now more important to him than anything else and that if she leaves him he will not able to take it. It is the best song of poets of the fall. His manly voice makes it alive and sad, all at the same time. I like the part when he says "Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the world is burning Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the heart is yearning" It shows that he is falling apart. |

Conjure one remixed the song. Lunascape is the original people who made it. Anyway, i think it is about one sided love. She expressed her love to him, but he rejected her. I am guessing that they are still in touch with each other, maybe like friends. But she still feels that she had a chance with him only if she knew how to express it in right way. She shows it by saying "And all the things,I should have said Echo now inside my head." She is still in love with the man even though she knows this is wrong and he feels nothing of that sort for her. At day time she doesn't feel the pain, but at night during bedtime all thoughts about him haunts her down and the sadness makes her cry. Nobody is there to listen to her,but the moon and (spiritually) angels know what she goes through. |
