T.I. – Whatever You Like Lyrics 17 years ago
The like is "Brain so good" not brains. Brain is a slang term for getting head or a blow job. It's a funny metaphor.

Elton John – Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting) Lyrics 17 years ago
wow thanks law4 i really didn't know that about braces. BTW: Elton didn't write these lyrics emobettyrocket, even though that comment was like 4 years ago haha, Bernie Taupin did, so Elton literally did no harm with these lyrics, unless you were to hold him responsible for singing another person's lyrics.

Eminem – Yellow Brick Road Lyrics 17 years ago
The girl that he's talking about is just some girl he had a crush on in high school. Why would he name her in a song, years later? That's just embarassing for all parties involved. There's really nothing to be gained by naming some non-famous person in a song. But, i mean, the girl's first name is obviously Kim. Samanthayh is right about that. I'm pretty sure it's not soul at the end there although I like that interpretation, I never thought of that. hahaha on lil kim.

T.I. – Whatever You Like Lyrics 17 years ago
When I listen to this song I think you can listen to it on two different levels. If you just look at the lyrics, he sounds happy as he flaunts his wealth to a girl he likes, but if you listen to the beat of the song it's really not happy at all. The beat has a bit of a spiraling effect, starting high and just drifting down. The beat makes his lyrics sound empty, like he really doesn't want this, like he wants love but he's so rich that he knows it's pretty much impossible to find because he really has nothing to look forward to in a relationship, he's already at the peak of everything. When you have so much money like T.I. you get so spoiled that the up's and down's of love don't happen, you just kind of fall into this dull monotony where everything is handed to you so there's no point in really trying to be kind to girls anymore since you have so much money that they'll keep coming back to you even if you're a total jackass.

I think that's really what Eminem went through too with Kim. They couldn't work through their problems because there were so many people willing to cling to them and give them anything they like because they have so much money. It's hard enough to work through the pressures of adultery without groupies left and right throwing themselves at you.

But then again, that's one interpretation. I guess you could just look at this song as "mocking sugar daddies." I see it more as a subtle confession of unhappiness. Brilliant song.

Eminem – Crazy In Love Lyrics 17 years ago
Why does it seem like people believe that a song has to be written all at one time. What would stop Eminem from taking lines he wrote when he was young, like when Dre first signed him, and all of a sudden Kim is back in love with him after leaving him. What would stop him from combining those lyrics with more from when he was divorced. Clearly Kim and Eminem have been off and on for so long, their marriages were destined to fail. Em had to know that somewhere deep down. But he and Kim were too crazy in love to give up. He couldn't let go.

This song is easy to relate to if you think of it as along a broad spectrum of a failed relationship where you weave in and out, ignoring the chronological orders of events. Eminem could very well just be reentering his consciousness from when like ItsMarshall247 said, when they first got married.

Doesn't this make it such a better song though? that its not just a song about big screen tv's, blunts, 40s and bitches, but has deeper meanings which can relate to multiple parts of life. That's not a nack on Dre though, he's still the fuckin man.

Eminem – Yellow Brick Road Lyrics 17 years ago
Eminem is talking about a black girl he went out with in high school during one of his breaks with Kim. The girl ended up dumping him, so he got mad because of her and being shunned by the majority rap community because of his skin color and recorded a track where he said something like "black girls only want your money cuz they're dumb chicks." in the song he compares black and white girls and talks about how he likes them better and stuff. He was really young when he did this, and apparently his former friend/producer Manix sold the tape to the Source when Benzino and Eminem were having their feud. The song can be found on youtube, just search eminem racist tapes.

Eminem is trying to explain his position. Like he has to, how many times to other rappers make generalizations about women, homosexuals, blacks, or whites. The problem is that since Eminem is white, he get's more publicity and more airplay on rock radio stations, so everything he does is more highly scrutinized. Poor guy. No one gets on Kanye when in "All Falls Down" he talks about how "the white man get paid off of all a that." Honestly if anyone really listens to Eminem's music they know that he is very respectful of black culture and rap history. which is why Benzino is a piece of shit and the source is steadily going downhill and being weeded out by xxl.

50 Cent – Amusement Park Lyrics 17 years ago
I feel like this song has a deeper meaning which I can't fully grasp.... Something about the lyrics tell me that this isn't just about a man who wants to bring some girls to an amusement park... just classic lyricism, impossible to clearly define the true purpose, absolutely brilliant work by sir 50 cent.

50 Cent – Peep Show Lyrics 17 years ago
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that perhaps 50 cent accidentally wrote something with a significant amount of depth here. If you look at Eminem's lines as the the girl that 50 is talking about for the first few verses of the song, peep show moves from being another song with meaningless lyrics to a song which is quite profound. The song symbolizes irony in how 50 believes he is going to show this girl how to be crazy, but then it turns out that the girl is a freak beyond his wildest expectations. Perhaps it is not 50 Cent's fault not to have been expecting this beautiful girl would be someone who would shit on his chest and force him to drink her pee? hahaha.

Although I don't think 50 cent planned this, I would not put it past Eminem to have been thinking this way when he wrote his verse. Very funny and a great song.
