to me this songs speaks of a depression, and how people turn away from you... especially the "swim he says..." line, which is like saying "get over yourself, life is not that bad..." which i have heard countless time while i was depressed, but you feel that you cant do it on your own. and then the "it's not me to make a fuss it's just that the water's cold and i can't feel my legs " and "please excuse that outburst i'm a little scared i don't know what came over me" you always feel ashamed for being in a shitty mood, and for letting your feelings show, because people turn away from you as if you are gonna do something to them, and prefer to "close their eyes" anyways thats the exact experience i got when i was going through a depression, and the song describes it perfectly |
