Tantric – Down And Out Lyrics 17 years ago
The song is definitely about companionship and turbulent relationships. I don't think it's about just friends, though, especially considering the lines

"Though I’m used to have you here
It's doesn’t change the man I was
When you found me"

He is addressing a specific person whom he is accustomed to having constantly at his side. I suppose it could be interpreted as dealing with friends, I think there is a more intimate component to this song that reminds me of "Breakdown". I think the point is that there is a troubled, complex relationship and he is accusing the other party of not being the friend he/she/they should be. It is a little open-ended though, and the mood is unambiguous.

I love the upbeat nature of this song, and the lyrics are great as well...I don't like the step to the left, step to the right part, but that's about it.
