Yes the acroynm H.E.R. stands for "Hip Hop in its Essence and Real"... Yes Kanye makes reference to this song on his "Homecoming" song. How 'bout that beef he caught with Ice Cube because of the song. Cube felt Common was bashing the West Coast and the whole gangsta rap scene because in the song he criticized the route hip hop was taking. Cube then came out with "Used to love H.E.R. mad cuz I fucked her" Common with "The Bitch in Yoo" They finally settled it. Definitely one of my favorites songs. Common Sense. |

everytime i hear this song it gets to me, every single time. i remember listening this to this song on some serious head trips and crucial come downs. and its just beautiful..the sax on the beat..slug laying it out so deep. and from what i know, its not on any album. ...and if this is another ANT production, i definitely love the guy more. can anyone verify that? |
