| Middle Class Rut (MC Rut) – Cornbread Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| What the hell is this supposed to mean? | |
| Franz Ferdinand – 40 Ft. Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I have indeed heard that, and while it didn't occur to me, I don't think it has anything to do with it. | |
| Franz Ferdinand – Dream Again Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Check out this monologue from Caliban in Shakespeare's The Tempest Act three, Scene two. Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises, Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not. Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices That, if I then had waked after long sleep, Will make me sleep again: and then, in dreaming, The clouds methought would open and show riches Ready to drop upon me that, when I waked, I cried to dream again. Bam. Alex said on Twitter, when a fan pointed it out: "Well spotted. It was Nick's idea." |

I'm pretty sure it's actually: "I've never been a saint and I won't start tonight", not "I've never been that sane". But I might be wrong. |

| Nine Inch Nails – 24 Ghosts III Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Someone is indeed yelling "Get the door!" - it's a sample from the film The Mothman Prophecies. | |

| Yeah, you're right - it's again. | |
| Franz Ferdinand – 40 Ft. Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Just a random thing that probably has little to do with this song - in Nova Scotia, there is a 'money pit' where many believe there is buried treasure. They keep trying to excavate it to no avail. However, they found a stone that says, "forty feet below, two million pounds lay buried." Perhaps it's about being so close to something and yet so far away, and knowing that no matter how much you desire it, you'll never be able to get it. | |
| Kaiser Chiefs – Half The Truth Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I agree, but the chorus ("I will not lie to you, but I'll definitely only give you half the truth") reminds me of Hermes in Greek mythology. Upon stealing Apollo's sheep when he was born, he was made to promise never to lie again. He replied much the same way. | |
