| well a lot of people...myself included, are taken with the line "I don't feel at all like I fall" and nobody has really made much a response...all i can think of on it is that when you fall, you tend to fall hard, otherwise the fall isnt mentioned...so i guess its a line of stoicism...he dosent fee "hard" or rather he dosent show any feelings... | |

i think this song is about how he is in love with his best friend...but doesn't want to say anything afraid it could risk their friendship if she didn't love him back or if they broke up or something. so instead hes stuck watching her through various relationships with people other than himself. "im coming out of my cage" he cant stand to see her with this other person and hes coming to get rid of him. or he now wants to let it out that he loves her. "And I've been doing just fine Gotta gotta gotta be down Because I want it all" he had been alright with her being with other people and them being best friends...but now hes sick of watching her with other people and wants her to himself the rest of the song is about how he relationship with her boyfriend developed from a kiss to them having sick...and he cant stand that its not him. the way the line "it was only a kiss" is sung and repeated gives me the impression that it was rough for him to watch her even kiss other guys...but he let that go...but them having sex pushed him over the edge...now hes jealous and all he can do is think about it "but its the price i pay" this is what i get for waiting "Destiny is calling me Open up my eager eyes 'cause I'm Mr. Brightside" he thinks its fated that they will end up together...so hes going to look at the bright side and eventually they will end up together...or so he hopes. |
