Rush – Faithless Lyrics 17 years ago
I would simply challenge anyone who doesn't believe in God to sincerely pray asking He reveal Himself to them. Then with an open and sincere heart, be watching and waiting for God's answer. And as deguello1836 mentioned, if you seek you will find (Matt 7:7). I would also challenge you to take that same sincere and open heart and read the entire book of Luke (front to back). You won't be sorry you did.

My last word of advice is don't let the money grabbing white haired, crazy televangelists on TV influence your disbelief in God. Sadly, I think they're driving more people away from God than to Him and very likely helped inspire this song by Neil...unfortunately. I'm quite convinced these are the same people Jesus threw out of the temple, and will again when He returns. Focus on Christ, not imperfect Christians.

Now regarding the song and more thoughts about it (which I guess is the reason for this website, eh?), I find the song very somber and dark, much like several other songs on the CD. I think it's because of the saddness of faithlessly trying to fill the God shaped holes in their hearts. I pray they find the Truth.

Regarding their musicianship (on every song, past and present), no one holds a candle to them. They are the best.....period.
And faithless or not, they are still some of the best muscians around and they will always be remembered as an influencial part of my youth and love for music.

As a Christian, our faith should not be in religion itself, but in Jesus and the promise he gave all who believe. Jesus had a problem with man's religion too. Just read the Gospels and how he handled the religious leaders of the day. And then look at how they handled him in return.

The bottom line is that it's not about religion, but relationship. Relationship with others, but more importantly a relationship with the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

This song actually saddens me to think of anyone being faithless. I'm a big Rush fan and think a lot of Neil as a writer, but as a Christian I can't understand how anyone can truly live without faith or hope in God.

I guess my question is what is Neil "quietly resisting"? Is it man's religion or God? If it's man's imperfect religion, then I agree and will also resist. But in our perfect God, I am very faithfull.
