I don't think it's written after a break up. I think Ladybug nailed it. I think it's about Sara being on tour with K's Choice, or just loving someone who lives far away from her. About the feeling you get when you know everything would be better if the other person was right beside you, and you know that's not possible, but you can't even move because you just want them near. These lyrics mean alot to me. Before my boyfriend and I got together, this allready was "our song" and I was "his little Annie". It's your typical love song, I guess. But much better then it was ever written before. (but hé, It's John Denver, so you are asured it's quality stuff ;)) he describes being in love with real life metaphores, and that's what I like. Trying to explain what you feel for someone, not with big words, but... things you see in everyday life and make you happy. Because love makes you happy. It's just CLEAR how he feels. No bs added, just he, his guitar and his feelings for a girl you know, he will love all his life and has changed his life comepletely. If I can only mean partly for my boyfriend what Annie must have meant for John... I will live a happy life :) |
