Simply means he's thrown his life away doing drugs and/ or drinking. 'The pavement; it dulls your senses. And visions of black and white, of solid steel, and flashing lights. So close your eyes, and lose this fight.' I agree with demimondaine that this part's about jumping off a building. Or could possibly be about passing out on the street from drunkeness. |

Not sure who he refers to when he says 'They always come and go.' Meh, I dunno, thats just my interpretation... could be entirely wrong. But it makes sense to me. |
