This song has two meanings for me. The first is about my current boyfriend and how people are trying to tell me it won't last. The second meaning for me is about my ex-boyfriend, who treated me badly, cheated on me, hit me, and nevre really liked me that much, but i LOVED him soooo much. "but something happened for the very first time with you" He was my first love, and I never felt like that before. "they try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth" I lie to people and tell them i hate him, but deep down i know i still love him and can't get over him. "i'll be wearing these scars for everyone to see" I cut myself badly when we broke up and when he started hitting me. "Trying hard not to hear But they talk so loud Their piercing sounds fill my ears Try to fill me with doubt Yet I know that the goal Is to keep me from falling" This verse means to me that i can hear the news of the break up flowing through everyone and my friends trying to help me, but they are feeling me with the doubt of us coming back together. this song is very powerful to me. |
