"Sweet Jesus, I swear that I love you, No matter what the chariot says. I'm biased, and by this I'll judge you on weakness wrapped up in my own innocence And I think that's fine" The book of Psalms mentions chariots of fire, which demonstartes God's overwhelming power: "The chariots of God are tens of thousands thousands of times over. The Lord is with them, as at Sinai in holiness" (Psa. 68:17). He is saying he loves Jesus no matter how powerful he is. He will percieve jesus as weak, making his sins not so bad. "My God you look so much different. From mirrors you looked like a fool." In the Bible, Genesis 1:27, it says... "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." Andy,looking in a mirrior at his own refelction, is saying God looks like a fool beacuse God made us in his own image; andy is calling himself a fool. "And your skin tastes much better with aging Not sweet like it was back in our Sunday school." In sunday school as a kid you only learn about the good and loving God, nothing about his jealousy and rage. "Just wait, don't go. We're gonna see if this bad boy can fly, 'cause i heard that it can after all." I don't really know what he is saying here but to me is sounds like he is saying that God will forgive us of our sins, if we just believe that he truely exist, so no matter what sin, you are saved and will go to Heaven. "Now that you're home won't you rescue me? I've been trying so hard to be good again" this seems sarcastic, like if he is saying, "since you really do exist and came home to save us, now i beleive in you and want you to take me home." |
