yes his voice does really grow on you when he sings "gates close, esculators climb" it may be saying that when a door close another opens type thing or it could be saying people do things and hurt and shut off (gates close) and then (esculators climb) could be like feelings and emotions building up? and then he could be blaming ir on someone "i owe it to you, owe i to you" or he could be meaning that he has changed for the better because of you. and then at the end when he sings "i dont want you, you dont want me... strange enough - i think you need to say" this could be conveying that even if people fight and dislike eachother or when hard times hit, you still need to stay and stick it out. and then by strangely enough you become closer. this song is really passionate and inspiring. |

also "when are you gonne get back up? " is like asking themselves basically 'so what are you going to do next'? this is an important line in the song because it has some optimism and movement in it. unfortunetly i like majority of tilly and the walls lyrics more than their songs.. although they do have a few great songs. |

wtf this isnt a song about being lazy and having nothing to do! this song is describing the feeling of things that are always getting him down "that's got me falling down, my love is falling oh yeah, it's falling down" they say "thats got me falling down" and the things he is describing before this always seem to upset them but then when they say "my love is falling down" theyre saying most of all, my love is falling down. definetly not a song about nothing look further beyond your nose. |

no i dont think its about a drug addicted friend or her on drugs. maybe the friend or person, or partner, she has looked after and been there for...and she has just made something up about her because she walked away because she was sick of putting up with it so shes saying like ive been there for you and iim sick of your shit so im walking away and you hate that, so you turn around and say "shes just the girl i lost to cocain" and its blamed. i think the drug and title of the song has nothhing to do with the song and lyrics. or the drug could be a metephor.. cocaine being the bad things in her life.. "im the girl you lost to cocaine" im the girl you lost to all the bad things in your life. ... it can be interpeted in so many ways! i love sias passion though!ahh it really shows and you can hear it in her voice. |

No, i see it more symbollically. so you can add it to your own life if you get me.. "I fought the war but the war won" like maybe shes just over fighting and fighting and fighting and she can never do anything to help. and then she just gives up because shes over it. maybe .. maybe...she relates to the dude that "died" in the car like maybe a part of herself is dying. or a relationship has died. or suicide if you prefer that =S but i think more symbollically and i like the remix of the song |

I think hes talking about how much he made mistakes and played it way too safe. like you have to take some risks in life. and it could be involved with relationships. i like the xylophone in this song it makes it so much sweeter. then with the upbeat drums. and then when he says. LETS GO TO brighton. hes saying okay. NO WAY! she isnt copying regina spektor. she uses some of the same tactics as her. but kate nash is really induividual. she has red hair and her film clips are really colourful and bright. and remind people of fruits and particulary this song reminds people of sweet things. and there are so many artists that do the whole a- a- a- a-. thing. i love this song. its so down to earth. |

This song has so much passion I beleive this song is talking about how you try to fix problems between you and someone and you want to resolve things but they just continue to fight.. therefore nothing is ever fixed up. and you cant handle it anymore. and then it feels wrong Your just continually trying and no matter how hard you try the line will just fall. as he says "I've been drawing the line and watching it fall, " its a real heartbreaking song though i think the lyrics relate to alot of relationships. |
