tegan wrote it after she walked in on a burgler. so i think its just her thinking about how people can get bad so young and that the world is triing to find ways to upset you like that. so then shes triing to point out the good things |

this song isnt about a breakup for me.
i see it more that she is with someone and she is triing so hard to stay with them that she is losing herself and its making herself unhappy. and so shes realizing that she has to do things for herself and not worry that that person will leave her. some parts of the song i havent figured out how it fits, but thats what i think about the song |
