I've watched the video a few times (a bit obsessively, actually; I really like this song), and I think some of what's quoted above is inaccurate. For example, instead of "now i'm filled to the top with fear but it's all just a bunch of matter" I think Sam actually says "now i'm filled to the top with fear that it's all just a bunch of matter" which would be more logical for a song that appears to reflect a crisis of religious faith. Oh, and he's looking up into the "night" sky, not a "grey" one (if it were grey, why would he go on to say "I see nothing but black!"?) |
