To me it's about really taking the time to soak in the moments that are important to us, even if it isn't the easiest way to live. He says "I find that life is easier when it is just a blur With no details to confuse who or what or where I was So when the ending comes the full regret will be obscure" because he finds it obvious we will regret what we have or haven't done in our lives at the end but he chooses to examine things now so he can really remember the moment when he fell in love with her and they became one. Even though she is dead/dying, it doesn't change what they once had and he will always carry her with him (in his blood) He encourages her to go back to that moment as well in her mind. |
