| Radiohead – How I Made My Millions Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Am I the only one who interprets the lyrics as something optimistic? The first few lines seem like an admission of love, a love that the narrator has been carrying for a long time. He's now 'stronger and 'better' and can let the person he loves know how he feels. The rest of the song seems like an expression of the desire to spend one perfect, silent moment with the one he loves. | |

I figured it was about the end of a relationship... The devotion that one or both sides has to their job has forced them to break up because they see so little of each other. Though the idealist in me sees the "I'll love you forever" as a promise that they won't forget on another, and perhaps will try again in the future. It's a really sad song, when you think about it... |

The line 'Sky is womb and she's the moon' is easily one of the best lyrics I've ever heard. Just so... Magical is really the only way to describe it. As for meaning... Well, the whole album's about the breakup with his girlfriend, hence For Emma... But I can't quite see how it fits in here... |

Hehe, just signed up to post my thoughts on this song... Never really listened to it before, but sitting here in the dark with headphones in... Fucking WOW. I find it kind of uplifting, actually... Reminds me how lucky I am to have my girlfriend, and how much I need her... Think it's about a relationship that he thought was something really special. He truly, deeply loved her, and now she's gone completely, and nothing he tries can fill the hole she left. However, there's that tiny bit of optimism at the end, where he's sure he'll see her again sometime, even if he has to wait until the end. I once heard someone describe it well... The song itself is life, the silence is death and the hidden bit is a rebirth. Considering Thom Yorke's (little-known) interest in Buddhism, this seems like a nice way to look at it. |
