I was drawn to Good Charlotte because they are from where I am from, Waldorf MD.. It's interesting to see that they are singing a song about my town. This is my town.. I wanna go to parties where they got no guns I wanna rock with my band, I wanna have a little fun Where thugs and punks and any other type Can sing this song and up sing it all night Here there is a big difference between punk and non punk.. There is a fine line between who can be friends and who cannot be friends. If Good Charlotte was to walk into a party in Waldorf, there probably would be guns. People don't mix very well here. They are saying "We'll see you when we get there". Basically saying they are going to prove everybody wrong, because they made it from a small town. I give Good Charlotte mad props. I love their lyrics and they sing the truth. Everything said about Benji and Joels dad is true. They had a hard life and came out of it all at the top. |

The second verse of this song reminds me a lot of a friend that I had who was in some trouble with the law. I just wanted to come out and sing this to him: Sometimes you feel defeated But it's okay You're not the only one And all the complications The bad situations, happen to everyone It doesn't matter how it ended or began Sometimes the best that you can do is change your plans I hope you understand that I will never let you down --Because to me that says that even though you are going through hard times and things aren't looking good, you have to look on the bright side. And sometimes you have to stop what you are doing and just do the right thing. Because even though it probably isn't as fun as the wrong thing, it will help more in the end-- |
