| The Bravery – Red Hands and White Knuckles Lyrics | 16 years ago |

she could be found out dancin' at ludlow st. and stanton oh you should've seen her shake it up like Orangina. and even though she's a liar we got on like a house on fire. even though she's my friend we never knew when to say when every little move she made was a ticker tape parade and everything she'd say was a national holiday and even though she's a liar no one ever got me higher and even though she's my friend we never knew when to say when with red hands and white knuckles I tried to hold on, I tried to hold on with red hands and white knuckles I tried to hold on, I tried to hold on she was at thompkin square staring at the grass trying to make her eyes turn green but it never last and even though she's a liar no one ever got me higher cuz we never knew when to say when even though she was my friend with red hands and white knuckles I tried to hold on, I tried to hold on with red hands and white knuckles I tried to hold on, I tried to hold on Over on 5th and C she got her beers for free And every time I came in there she always laughed at me she said, "Who let this child in here?" you look like you teach math your appled eyes betray you've never known loneliness with red hands and white knuckles I tried to hold on, I tried to hold on with red hands and white knuckles I tried to hold on, I tried to hold on |

| Editors – The Weight of the World Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Weird how they go from this to "If there really was a god here..." | |
| The Bravery – The Spectator Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think that this song is about a man who lives his life completely out of society, at least emotionally. He goes out and gets drunk at night and comes home in the morning completely smashed, then during the day he watches the world, perhaps on a television set or computer. He probably feels like nothing he does will matter overall and his life is meaningless, he is born, grows up and then dies, so he simply watches what the people who care so much about it all do and how society and the world change around him. |

| The Last Shadow Puppets – My Mistakes Were Made for You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's about a girl who gets famous and she starts to get into that celebrity mindset and she begins to think of herself as royalty. | |
| ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead – Worlds Apart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I revel in the arrogance of people like Milkwig. They believe that America is the best nation in the world and all other nations are "shit hole(s)" and that anyone who speaks out against how America has problems then they should shut up and leave. But, that's why we are the way we are, I suppose, the people being raised in a bubble and never really knowing exactly what life is like other places in comparison to America. That's what this song is about, I think, how we've lost our way from what America was originally set up to be, a safe haven for the people of other nations who would get pissed on by the higher ups there. And that people need to just branch out their minds and take in a bit of culture from other places and take a walk in their shoes to better understand how good life is in America, but that other countries are also not that bad to live in. |

| Tokyo Police Club – Listen to the Math Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Do you think that maybe the father wants to raise this child differently just to oppose society? Cause that's what I'm thinking that's what it's more about. I still think that his wife died during childbirth, but I dunno. Maybe I'll try to ask them what it's about when they come to Dallas. |
| Tokyo Police Club – Nursery Academy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think it's a metaphor for the real world. The Nursery could be life after high school/college. Because you feel like an adult when you're a senior in high school, but you go out into the world and you realize that you're almost like a child again. |

| Kasabian – Thick As Thieves Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love this song so much, I hope every track from their new CD is like this and Fast Fuse. | |
| Tokyo Police Club – Sixties Remake Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I was sixteen through the night. | |
| Tokyo Police Club – Juno Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's "I'm gonna go back for the science, I'm gonna stay for the decimals. No one will ever know the difference." |
| Tokyo Police Club – Listen to the Math Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Although, I just had another thought occur to me. It could be that he is a single dad raising the child because the mother is not around because she might have died at birth but they saved the baby. And since everyone is unsure he can raise a girl on his own, they're criticizing his methods of doing so. And "rekindle your heart" might mean that since her mother died, she'll have to learn to love someone else like she would a mother, or something to that effect. |
| Tokyo Police Club – Listen to the Math Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm thinking maybe that this baby girl has some kind of disorder, cause of complications at birth leading to some kind of mental handicap. Which also makes sense since everyone seems to be criticizing his methods for teaching his child this way. But maybe not, I'm not sure, it's the only way I could make sense with the hospital machines and "rekindle your heart." |

| The Faint – Southern Belles in London Sing Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Southern Belles In London Sing, belle mean beauty in French. | |
| The Faint – I Disappear Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I'm thinking that maybe this song is about how when guys get really sexual they kinda lose themselves, since this whole CD seems to be about that kind of theme. | |
| The Presets – Eucalyptus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Also, I was listening to it on my ipod, and in the chorus at the spot you have ?'s in, I think he said "And I remember it well." | |
| The Presets – Eucalyptus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I hear "I wore it proud, but it never relieved me." Think that's right? |
| Ladytron – Versus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| ALSO, when Daniel sings the second verse, it sounds to me like he says "...cutting braces down to size." | |
| Ladytron – Versus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I thought it was hard to see at first when I typed it, but someone said it was the other way. | |
| The Faint – I Treat You Wrong Lyrics | 17 years ago |
So, basically he gets over zealous in arguments between him and his girlfriend and he ends up looking like a fool and he realizes that he doesn't treat her like he should. That's what I get. |
| The Faint – Fish in a Womb Lyrics | 17 years ago |
So what does it mean when he says "That slice in my neck, it's oozing jelly clear as glass." Basically he's bleeding through it right? Like he got cut? |
| The Faint – Fish in a Womb Lyrics | 17 years ago |
So what? Is it like a birth defect or is he some kind of fish? |
| The Faint – Forever Growing Centipedes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think it says "You and me eating mushrooms together." | |
| The Faint – A Battle Hymn for Children Lyrics | 17 years ago |
A couple lines I couldn't understand. But this is obviously about how kids growing up with violent videos games about war and later in life join the army only to find out it's nothing like the video games. |
| Ladytron – Predict the Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |
That sounds pretty good, the one that I think makes the most sense to me is like, some one that is like living on top on the world right now not caring what they do. And like the enemies they make along the way will come back and get them, basically like karma coming back to get you. Something like that. |
| The Bravery – Tyrant Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I really love that part. The piano there is my favorite part of the song. |
| The Faint – The Geeks Were Right Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It really sounds like he says "While I'm in deep REM sleep." | |
| Ladytron – Predict the Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I have like 5 theories for this song, but I can't get any to make perfect sense. : / | |
| Ladytron – I'm Not Scared Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"You've come to enjoy the generosity of strangers" I think that might mean something about sleeping with people you don't really know. Or maybe it could mean something like how they just tell people stuff and they listen to them. |
| Ladytron – The Last One Standing Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm thinking it's about a relationship that ended badly. A lot of Ladytron songs seem to have this same theme, wouldn't you agree? |
| Ladytron – Burning Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Also, it should be "I wrote a protest song about you." | |
| Ladytron – Ghosts Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think this song is about something that didn't come out as planned, like a relationship. Say there was a fight, and she did something that made them really sad. And later she had a thought of regret but still didn't feel bad about it. |
| Ladytron – Evil Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| She keeps falling for someone, gets them off her mind, then gets roped back in. | |
| Ladytron – Burning Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Obviously about a past love she's not over yet. | |
