What a kickass song but kickass girls.
It's about the inability to let go and move on from a person and no matter how hard you try you just can't. I think maybe the"and it's kill, kill, killing me/and it's kill, kill, killing me/that i'm still in love with you" part may have two meanings. One meaning that it pains her to know that she can still possibly love this person after all that they have done. And the other meaning that holding on to the person has emotionally killed her. |

Anyway, what I meant to add on is that my perception of this song is about the ability to accept life's obstacles. And the ability to not only overcome, but to face the heartaches. The umbrella most likely represents some type of protection and it's saying that there's no need to be protected from the "rain" or troubles because it comes and goes. We get passed it and although we may not always enjoy it, we need it in life to fully develop (as a person). |
