wow. i am shocked that there are so few posts about this song. i think this song speaks true to a lot of people. i'm kind of in a situation right now where i feel like i shouldn't like this person, but i still do. there's a huge age difference between us and it's kind of like a forbidden love thing. i'm not sure if he feels the same, but i think i relate to the last verse the most, where it says: "i'm not allowed to adore you the way you know i really want, but i do even though it's been a nightmare to pretend that it's all alright it's not the easiest thing to avoid, damage is already done; i'm in love...with...you" so simply put, but so well said. that's EXACTLY how i feel about the guy i'm involved with. long live S Club!!!! |

| actually, i wrote a screenplay based on this actual song. except, the way i interpreted it was that the girl's dad dies, but after her mom finds out she overdoses on painkillers after telling the daughter. it's an incredibly powerful and moving song and it's so true. life is short, so you've gotta "appreciate" what you have and enjoy life while you have the chance to live. | |

| I feel that this song is about how it's okay to be unhappy during the holidays. Bad things can happen at any time of the year, Christmas being one of them. I know for a fact that a year and a half ago during December I was having a difficult time with certain issues. Whether it be a death of a loved one, a specific (unfortunate) diagnosis, school work, stress, etc...it's okay to be upset and not smile. No matter how you're feeling you shouldn't have to put on a mask and pretend that everything's okay when it's really the exact opposite. | |
