this song is about being ready to fight for anyone who means alot to you. the whole song he re-iterates that he's ready to come runnin when someone needs him. this paragraph makes it obvious as well: I'm gonna brawl So be there, One for all, Be there, When they fall, To pieces, Don't you know, I'll be there laughing ---sounds like hes on call to be there if his mates get into a fight. -One for all, Be there, When they fall, To pieces, Don't you know, I'll be there laughing (sounds like they just had a gang fight and they are laughing about it afterwards...) thats just how i interpreted it |

this song gets better and better everytime i listen to it. its fast moving towards being one of my all time faves. the vocals and instrumentals just work so well together (and on the rest of in ranbows) my god i love this band |

look this song up on youtube. theres a clip of them playing it live on jools. at the end of the song jonnys guitar goes into meltdown and goes absolutely nuts and rips the most amazing guitar solo. it made me smile from ear to ear. :D |

Brilliant song. coldplay have done it again. i think its a commentary on the society we have become today. When the future's architectured By a carnival of idiots on show You'd better lie low ---foolish leaders take us to war and are slowly destroying our society. When the banks became cathedrals ---$$$ money rules the world, not god. 'Priests clutched onto bibles Hollowed out to fit their rifles And the cross was held aloft' ---religions are doing the exact opposite of what they are intended to. its a play on words. the priests hold onto their bibles, not to spread the word of god, but to hold their rifles (not literally) something more like words of death and hate. good good song! i cant wait to hear the rest of the album |

this is possibly one of the most amazing songs i have ever heard. i know it might sound stupid but as i listen to this song i actually sorta zone out and reach a calm state. the percussion, guitar and vocals work so well together on this song (and the rest of in rainbows for that matter) that it's just so perfectly balanced. an unbelievable song. i love it |
