Amazing so many people who reference cheating in "break up" songs. As if someone cheating is the only thing that can end a relationship. Cheating is never mentioned in this song, though theft and lying are. The song is about a relationship where the guy gives his all to the relationship while the girl is hard and cold. The guy loves her, but doesn't understand why. It's a bit about his acceptance of the doom in their relationship, however mostly about his unwillingness to let her go. |

krisomnia0903 - Of course the lyrics are contradictory, that is the point. It's amazing the number of people who catch the obvious optimism in the song but miss the depression and sorrow. The song uses the metaphor of leaving town, to describe escaping difficult times with optimism. |
