I never really like the Killers, but recently I was directed to the lyrics of this song by a friend because it sums up exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago ... I'd been with my girlfriend for 3 years, and I went to Japan to study for 4 months. So while I was studying my arse off, with hardly any money for anything, she went out partying and slept with another guy. She told me about it a few days later, and the situation sounded so much like this song. While I was sitting at a desk working on papers, reading books, being bored, she was climbing in a cab with another guy, drunk. I was the jealous boyfriend, always stressing that something like this would happen, but I thought it was all in my head. Every night, that's all I can think of, the images portrayed in this song. And yeh, it started as a kiss, and so on. So now I like this song, and have a new-found respect for the Killers. |
