| Camille – Pour Que L'amour Me Quitte Lyrics | 17 years ago |

c'est la chanson la plus belle sur le fil. i think the character in the song (if it is camille herself) is describing a kind of transition in her life that surrounded an accident. the first stanza describes a person wet and deadened, perhaps arriving from an accident. the second stanza implies that this person is sleeping, or unconscious, perhaps in the hospital. because she goes on to talk about lianas in pagaye. lianas are tropical climbing trees, and pagaye is a place in burma. in the third stanza, she wakes up in the hospital, describing the walls. all awhile, she talks about love and how she is left without it. i think she has felt too much love, and thinks it abnormal, so she takes her heart down, or allows the love to leave her. |
