Well, I don't like Pretty. Odd. I don't consider half of the songs even songs, but whatever. This is the most decent song on the album, in my opinion. It started off very well, but once it goes into the second verse, it kind of loses it. It doesn't quite stick to a theme. I wish the whole song was sung the way the "chorus" is, which I believe is the first and last verse. I love how it's slower in a way, and it's sung in a lower sort of voice. The lyrics make sense, whereas the rest of the song sort of makes sense, but then kind of doesn't. Like half of the song you understand what it means to a certain extent, while the rest just kind of seems like it's there. For example, "It grows like fancy flowers but it grows nowhere" is very entirely poetic. "oh that ever smiling maze, a ballet" makes sense to a certain extent. It's poetic, yes, it's very hard to comprehend in a way. What the hell is a smiling maze....? It seems like the song was just titled, and then the title was randomly distributed into the song, because where it's placed doesn't make sense. But I suppose, "I can’t prove this makes any sense, but I sure hope that it does" and maybe it's entirely that way. :| Panic at the Disco better have a fucking kickass third album.... |
