I think this song is about the end of something, but it's also full of hope. She's the "ever-living ghost of what once was", as in what they used to have, but it's over. Still, he says that no one will ever love her more than he does, and he obviously doesn't want it to be over. He's talking about how everything's falling apart, and no one ever warns you that love is like this. |

This song seems to go along with "Goodbye Young Tutor" and "I Used To Have A Heart". He sang about his desire to hold onto her in GYT, YNOM and then was talkign about how "cheap" his heart seemed now (to me, seeming like he'd lost her). Now he wants her back, and he can't stand the thought of losing her again. |

I think it's about the end of a relationship, when they're drifting and he's afraid of losing her. Yes, Max is usually very sarcastic and condencending when it comes to love in general, but to me, this is him saying "Please". He wants to save them, and he wants to hear her say he matters to her. The songs that have been about a girl in this album seem to cover a relationship, and it's been wild, and he wants to hold on to it, I suppose. |

Why does everyone focus on Max's religion? This song is obviously about a concieted girl, probably promiscuous, who "thinks she's Jesus Christ". That's just a way of saying she thinks she's amazing, the savior of the world, all the things associated with Jesus. This song doesn't (to me) have anything to do with religion and everything to do with someone who stabbed him in the back or let him down. |
