| Thom Yorke – Harrowdown Hill Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it's quite scary — and telling of the world we live in today and the startling accuracy of Orwell's predictions — that a song about real life is so reminiscent of '1984'. | |

Actually, Thom has confirmed the song's political meaning himself in several interviews. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2006/jun/18/9 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrowdown_Hill |

| Slipknot – Eyeless Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I would take issue with those who claim that there is no skill or talent to screaming vocals. If you have ever tried to scream or shout for more than a couple of minutes straight then you'll see what I mean; it takes dedication to train yourself to be able to keep that up and do it well. Just because you don't like or appreciate it, doesn't mean it's not difficult. For those who are arguing about how to classify Slipknot, or who listens to them and why, might ask what the point is? If you listen to music, and it means something to you, that's good enough. It doesn't matter what you call it, or what it's associated with. As long as you can enjoy it, that's all that matters. I invite anyone who would discriminate on the basis of musical or any other taste to take a step back, and look in the mirror. |
