| Actually I think he says 'baby how'd you do it..." but I can't understand all of it. Anyway - awesome! | |

| I have always loved this song. I like the delicate/intricate intro to such a hard-driving song musically that is very emotionally vulnerable. And I don't think it gets any better than the melding of vocals when he starts "Baby help me do it, there must be something to it..." for some reason that gets me every time. :D | |

Oops, wasn't done :-) This line gets me every time: "Cause I come so together where you are" |

For me this signifies the connection between two people even as they fleetingly weave in and out of each other's lives...I have a situation like this in my life and can relate. I could be totally off from the actual intended meaning, but that is my take on it and how it relates to me. It is a beautiful song, in any case. I like the Bob Welch version better than the Fleetwood Mac version :) Much softer and prettier, IMHO. |

With this obviously being a stalker song (which we had figured out before the Ben quote, but thanks for it, TDDx8) I think the insistent, obsessive, repetitive intro makes complete sense. It is indicative of the obsession of the stalker...kinda like the quiet "music-only" parts in scary movies where they show you the killer stalking their prey to freak you out...build-up to the climax. I personally love it - the intro makes the song for me. :-) I also liked Orsoq87's suggestion that their selection for this as the first single was a little bit hinting around at spending some time with them and that soon they (the new album maybe?) will possess your heart. Kind of a neat twist. |
