Thanks! I had done these lyrics by ear and it was kinda late so maybe it had made sense to me at the time. I do agree, it is a beautiful and wonderfully written song :) |

| Minus Six – Before Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Minus Six came out to my college yesterday and of most of the songs that I heard, this was really high energy and just a toe tapper in general. As for the meaning, it's about a man that was in a relationship with someone, but once it ended, he got stuck in his feelings and just misses her. Now he knows she's with someone else, all the feelings that he used to have about her just came back and now "he wants it back to the way it was before". |

This was included in my pre-order of the CD. I see it is a single on iTunes now though. That could be your answer. |

| Copeland – No One Really Wins Lyrics | 15 years ago |

For me, as I listen to the song and read through the lyrics, I can see this relating to more of a relationship - or one that has yet to be started at least. It makes me think that A asked B out, but B that was asked, didn't really want to start a relationship with A, not because they didn't like them, but because of an already pending relationship between the two or if A, B, and C were in a group of friends). Then, it becomes a struggle to decide between the heart and mind for B and in accordance with the song, A is rejected and B tells them to not to change, because it wasn't that their character that made them reject them, but that they could not decide based on their friendship if it was a right choice (or if they didn't want to mess out the original A-B-C friendship). "If you don't find the love you want If I have acted ungracefully I don't want to see you go Never meant to make you want to leave" B is telling A that even if A continues to be unable to find a relationship with other people, to not blame their ungraceful act of rejection because B does not want to lose A as a friend. That's my two cents on this piece. It's amazing when you find a song that can relate to your life and Copeland is right on the money. They are a great band and will be missed. |

| This Day & Age – Clouds & Skyscrapers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Here's the song in non-paragraph form. Kinda did it by ear, so sorry if some of it is wrong. To say that apologies only come when mistakes are made Is to know that for the next three months Without hesistation she patiently waits. To watch the seasons slowly pass Without a breath or a smile Is to love those same eyes that focused on you for all this while. Start over on Monday And everything will turn out just the way she planned. To say that clouds and skyscrapers They remind me of her, Is to see that something out of reach can bring two people back together. To take the time to step back and look into his past Is to search within himself See why nothing can ever last. Start over on Monday And everything will turn out just the way she planned. And everything will turn out just the way she planned. I'm falling from the place where I stood. Will someone take my hand cause I don't understand. And she said, And everything will turn out just the way she planned. And everything will turn out just the way she planned. |

I can't believe no one has commented this song yet! Well, to me, this song is sort of like those feelings you get when you break up with someone. It's sort of awkward for him, seeing that he used to know this person so well and now he's realized that it's apart of the past and he can't do anything else and so he tries not to deal with this person anymore. That's just my two cents on this piece [: |

Goodness that disco ball comment was epic. It's true and I'll have to second that notion (: -Teacup xP |

I love the part when he sings, "Just take your time We'll stop the clock together And know that the timing was right" As for meaning, rockstar316 might have the idea down. I don't know. This song is quite pretty though (: |

| Dang, meant to say wedding comment, not wedding song. | |
| Rascal Flatts – Every Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Ever since I've heard him perform this song on Jay Leno, I was hooked. Rascal Flatts has an amazing voice and this song is just so soothing. As for the meaning, the last four posts explained it all. Someone is apparently "lost" in some sort of way and a person, without even knowing, has let them see that it's not the end of the world and has "saved" them. And as for mvp828, I'm going to second that wedding song. -Teacup xP |

| Death Cab for Cutie – Passenger Seat Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This may be the perfect road trip song. I've learned how to play this on the piano and everytime I play, I can't help but sing along. Whenever I hear this song, I can imagine the woman (whoever she may be) driving a convertible-like type of car with the top down and a dark starry night out somewhere on the open road (as the backdrop) with her guy (whoever he may be) sitting in the passenger seat, arms stretched out, looking upwards, just a tad bit drunk. This song just makes me feel better after I hear it, just like most of DCFC songs do. This one just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. -Teacup xP |

I'm going to have to agree with ossie on this one. Definately being played at my wedding. This is the first song I've heard from Copeland and it just blew me away. Aaron Marsh's lyrics are so sweet and simple. The way he writes is just breathtaking. He's probably got one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard too. If anyone were to sing this to me, I'd literally start crying just beacuse it's just that too good of a song. -Teacup xP |

| This Day & Age – Winter Winter Spring Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Probably the first song I listened to by This Day & Age. They are amazing. All their lyrics are some things people can relate to in one way or another. Like this song. People always try to find themselves and there's definately more than one way to do it, as explained through this song. 'I know the place where I need to end, but where do I begin?' That definately is how we all feel. We all know in our hearts where we can see ourselves in so-so years, but the real question is where do we begin? -Teacup xP |
