Job For A Cowboy – Knee Deep Lyrics 16 years ago
Because this "all loving God" sent him to Earth for the sole purpose of being brutally killed?

Job For A Cowboy – Knee Deep Lyrics 16 years ago
"i know biblical and satanic lore quite well and there are almost no references in here to either." That is clearly a lie. Either that or you just don't know the lyrics. I can see what tonyig123 sees, though that isn't to say I agree with it. But since I got the lyrics here let me help you along.

"His landscape has been scorned with death." - read the first testament of the bible. It's filled with death.
"Once a city now laid to ash." - surely, if you know as much as you give on you know the story of babylon
"A decaying father has left his bastard son with his addictions by his side." - a decaying father is refering to god, Jesus, being a bastard is obviously the barstard son. Again read the first testament, God seems to be addicted to killing, (Jesus was murdered).
I'm not going to go though the whole song, so I'll skip a few lines
"For this man only thirst for the blood, the blood of his child." Jesus and God are one in the same being. Jesus said to drink of his blood at last the supper
"He stands knee deep in the blood of his bastard son." - pretty much just saying that there was heaps os blood shed from Jesus (the barstard son)

Anyway, as I said, I don't nessaceraly agree, but thats just some lines that could arguably be refering to biblical stories.

"Mainly because he wore a kilt because he's irish" The Irish don't wear kilts. Kilts are Scottish

Nightwish – Bye Bye Beautiful Lyrics 17 years ago
This song screams Tarja to me personally.
"Blink your eyes just once and see everything in ruins" this sounds to me like the time before Tarja was married, her and Tuomas were fine, then she got married, and the hopes he had for him and her were in ruins.

"Did you ever hear what I told you
Did you ever read what I wrote you
Did you ever listen to what we played
Did you ever let in what the world said
Did we get this far just to feel your hate
Did we play to become only pawns in the game
How blind can you be, don`t you see
You chose the long road but we`ll be waiting
Bye bye beautiful
Bye bye beautiful" This sounds like Tuomas is asking Tarja if she actually valued all the time they spent in the band together, and what they did in the band. The part about her taking the long road...could possiblely mean that Toumas thinks that Tarja is going to come back to him in the end, but for now she has gone away, but he (and the rest of the band) will be waiting for her when she comes back.

"Noose around a choking heart
Eternity torn apart
Slow toll now the funeral bells Tuomas expressing how his heart has died because Tarja got married, AND left the band.

"It`s not the tree that forsakes the flower
But the flower that forsakes the tree
Someday I`ll learn to love these scars
Still fresh from the red-hot blade of your words" In this metaphor, Tarja is the flower, like a thing of beauty, and Tuomas is the tree, like a strong symbol of shelter. Tuomas is saying that This is Tarja's fault, not his. The words being talked about MIGHT BE (I'm not sure) Tarja saying "I do" at the wedding, and how deep he got cut when he realsed he had finally lost her.

"How blind can you be, don`t you see
How blind can you be, don`t you see
That the gambler lost all he does not have" Tuomas was gambling with Tarja, not doing much to try to win her, and in the end she got married, and he lost her. Though he never really had her in the start. But he doesn't think that Tarja sees this, and sees what he has lost from his eyes.

Thats how I look at it anyway.

Escape the Fate – The Guillotine Lyrics 17 years ago
megan_etf ronnie had problems with the law, he didn't "leave" the band, he was "taken" from the band. Craigafer left Blessthefall to spend more time with his child, but decided to get back in a band. Unfortunately he didn't get back into Blessthefall so he went to Escape the Fate. There are rumours that it's just temp though.

Blessthefall – A Message To The Unknown Lyrics 17 years ago
I see a lot of comments about this being about a stuggle to accept God, or love god etc. But I think the first verse blow that idea out of the water with
"Turn me on, let me feel you
Turn me on, let me taste you
Boundaries are starting to fall
Conceiving has already started
Kissing, caressing, indulge"
That to me doesn't sound like he is talking about God. I personally am not sure what thing song is about, but I don't think it's about
God.

Blessthefall – Higinia Lyrics 17 years ago
I know what this song is about, but as it said about this box, "What does this song mean to you?"so TO ME PERSONALLY this song is sounds as though it's about two people in a relationship a love triangle, of sorts. There is a guy that has broken up with a girl, and is now starting to go out with another girl. His memories of the first girl seem to be in his mind all the time "You will not die" and I think, maybe he has gone back to the first girl and cheated on the other one "I never had the chance to explain myself, I never had the chance to apologize"
