And, as for the meaning, as JP said it's definietly aimed at Ronnie. And, honestly, I don't want to start some ~ Ronnie war or whatever but it makes sense that they're kind of angry at him. He was kind of arrogant and rude to the band. In spite of his amazing vocals he wasn't really anything. |

Okay. To me, this song is about a friend. She refers to them as a skeleton because who'd want to be seen with a skeleton? And deep down inside she doesn't want to be seen with the 'skeleton'. She's known the person for a long time, "Yes, Skeleton, we have been friends for years" But this said person isn't exactly someone everyone wants to be seen around. As they get older, she starts to think about how the person has effected her. And besides, when she was younger she didn't care as much. She had the person. They had eachother. And when she goes out with the 'skeleton', she feels slightly embarassed. Sometimes she even thinks about getting rid of the person (killing in the song, but honestly I didn't think of it that way). But when she rethinks her thoughts, she realizes she loves the person too much and could never let them go.
It kind of sounds my my friendship with this one boy. He's not a nub or anything, but people do think he's weird. And he irritates me to the point that I think of attacking him sometimes. XD
But that's just my viewpoint on the song. Don't eat me. >_> |
