| Fall Out Boy – Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It's imperfect boys with your perfect lives. It's about how all the "emo kids" don't really have anything to bitch about so they should quit whining about their perfect lives. I think it's written from the point of view of someone who is either dying or has just lost someone "I'd promise you anything for another shot at life" | |

You could have knocked me out with a (feather) I know you've heard this all before but we're just hell's (neighbors) Wh, wh, why won't the world revolve around me? Build my dreams Trees grow all over the streets But I don't know much about classic cars But I've got a lot of friends talking classic coke Down, set, one, hut, hut hike Media Blitz Let's hear it for America's Suitehearts I must confess I'm in love with my own sins Let's hear it for America's Suitehearts I must confess I'm in love with my own sins You can bow and pretend That you don't, don't know you're a legend Time, time, time hasn't told Anyone else yet Let my love loose again I don't know much about classic cars But I've got a lot of friends talking classic coke Down, set, one, hut, hut hike Media Blitz Let's hear it for America's Suitehearts I must confess I'm in love with my own sins Let's hear it for America's Suitehearts I must confess I'm in love with my own sins You could have knocked me out with a (feather) I know you've heard this all before Let's hear it for America's Suitehearts I must confess I'm in love with my own sins Let's hear it for America's Suitehearts I must confess I'm in love with my own sins It's definitely Media Blitz, referring to how some celebrities rush the media with coverage of themselves. It's not talking about Pete. He specifically said none of these songs on FAD were autobiographical. It's a slam against celebrities who bombard the media with coverage of themselves, usually bad coverage and don't care about their reputation because all news is good news ("I'm in love with my own sins"). They have no substance behind them, that's why you can "knock them out with a feather." They're celebrities for no reason other than they're rich and act up whenever they have a camera on them. Classic coke is probably just that, most of their friends are hooked on coke. I think the title "America's Suitehearts" refers to Paris Hilton (suite=hotel=Hilton hotels). I could be wrong on that part, since Paris was at Pete's wedding, but when I think of the kind of people Pete's writing about in this song, she jumps to the front of my mind. |

| Fall Out Boy – I've Got a Dark Alley and a Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth (Summer Song) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This song was Pete Wentz's suicide note. That's why they don't play it live. They were just about to break out into the mainstream and Pete was having trouble dealing. That's the part about comparing himself to everyone else, as well as "Please put the doctor on the phone 'cause I'm not making any sense Blame everyone but me for this mess And my back has been breaking from this heavy heart" In his book The Boy With the Thorn In His Side he dedicates it to a few friends and "every other heart that was too heavy for the legs that have carried it." It's a recurring metaphor for him. The rest of the band had to tour in the UK with a replacement bassist while Pete recovered from overdosing on his Ativan. |
